Stop it Snap it Report

In cybersmart we have been learning how to take care of cyber bullying. We made posters on Piktochart to explain what to do if this acures. We watched a vidio to give us some inspo for our posters. The vidio explaind that if it happens you need to ingnore, take a screen shot of the text, block the person, then report it to an adult. I hope that my poster has made you learn somthing new. -Amandine :)

Power Play

Power play is a part of learning that we do in LH3. What we do for power play is
-20 minutes of reading (Novel)
-10 minutes Quick write(What I have done above)
Quick write-
Quick write is were we are given 10 minutes to write about anything we want, literally anything. Example of a quick write is above ,this is one that I wrote and than published. Once the ten minutes is over we count all of our words to see what the total is. Our goal for each day is to  try and beat the amount of words that the got on the most recant quick write.
Reading(Novel)-
For reading we read a Novel for 20minutes followed with a Quick write. We started reading for 20 minutes so that the book can give us some inspiration for what we can write about. We also do reading because you dont read as much in intermediate also its just good to read every now and than.

I enjoy doing Power play as a part of my learning in LH3.

Speaking Out Loud.....Its What You Gotta Do!

Hi, Welcome back! My Blog post is about my class speech. The topic of my speech is Why I think all schools should encourage kids to write in books more often.


This is my class speech.
I wrote about Why I think all schools should encourage kids to write in book s more often because I feel like computers aren't helping kids learning as much as computers.
One thing that I think I did really well was How I looked up at the audience and spoke clearly.
One thing that I think I could improve on is talking much slower as many of the comments that I got mentioned how I spoke pretty quick.

What we are doing in S.T.E.M tech.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 
S.T.E.M

This is a micro bit.
 In S.T.E.M we have been coding these micro bits to do many things such as, showing icons and words that we have drawn or written. We can also add buzzers onto them and code our micro bits to play music or a sound. Other than connecting a buzzer you can also connect headphones to your micro bit to hear the sound better. Micro bits only take in 3 volts so you wouldn't get an electric shock evan if you tryed.
We all tested what could conduct electricity to the micro bit and here our some examples of what worked. There was tinfoil, people, and table legs. We learnt about inputs and outputs and how they worked on the micro bits. To code the micro bits we used microbit.org and then when we were happy with what we had coded we would plug in our micro bits to our computer and download our coding on to our micro bits. Then whatever we coded it to do the micro bit would do it all on its own. I really like S.T.E.M. tech as we learn lots of stuff about coding and many other things.
